Wildcats claw past Golden Panthers
Thomas Clayton rushed for 177 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as the Kansas State Wildcats defeated the Florida International Golden Panthers by a 35-21 score.
The Wildcats, however, didn’t come close to covering the 33.5-point spread in this contest. The combined score went just OVER the day’s posted total (55).
Wildcats QB Allen Webb went 19-of-31 for 161 yards in the win, throwing two TD passes and one interception. Victor Mann and Jordy Nelson both caught scores for Kansas State.
Josh Padrick completed 17-of-34 pass attempts for 154 yards for the Golden Panthers, tossing one TD strike and getting picked off once. Adam Gorman rushed for a Florida International touchdown, and Julius Eppinger had a TD reception.
