The New Mexico Lobos jumped out to a 24-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, and cruised to a 41-14 win over the San Diego State Aztecs at University Stadium on Saturday.
The Lobos covered the 10.5-point spread at home, and the 55 points scored were OVER the posted total of 44.5.
Rodney Ferguson had a monster day, rushing for 210 yards and two majors on 22 carries. Chris Nelson was 9-for-20 for 87 yards and two scores for the Lobos.
Kevin O'Connell was 23-for-40 for 272 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions, while also running for 56 yards. Brett Swain caught eight balls for 108 yards for the Aztecs.
