Recap - Wolf Pack Defeat Hawaii 42-28
The Warriors had no answer for Lampford Mark on Saturday as the Wolf Pack rolled to a 42-28 win at Mackay Stadium.
The match was decisive in favor of Nevada, but bettors saw the game push as the margin of victory was the same as the closing point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 62.5.
Cody Fajardo completed 25 of 36 pass attempts for 290 yards for the Wolf Pack in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Joey Iosefa rushed for 40 yards for Hawaii, while Sterling Jackson added 8 yards. Shane Austin threw for 246 yards for the Warriors, while receivers Jeremiah Ostrowski and Billy Ray Stutzmann had 133 and 73 yards respectively.
Hawaii was outgained by Nevada 528-307 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 34-21 by the Wolf Pack.
The time of possession battle favored Nevada as their offense was on the field for 37:56, longer than the 22:04 of their opponents.
Next game, Nevada takes its act home to face Louisiana Tech looking for another win. For Hawaii, they head home to face Fresno State.
