Gators weather late Vanderbilt surge
No.7 Florida withstood a 13-point fourth quarter by Vanderbilt, while they were shut out, in a 25-19 win over the Commodores at Vanderbilt Stadium on Saturday.
The Gators did not cover the 17-point spread on the road, and the 44 points scored were just OVER the posted total of 43.
Chris Leak overcame three interceptions by going 18-for-25 for 237 yards and one touchdown, while running for two more. Dallas Baker had seven catches for 135 yards and a score for the Gators.
Chris Nickson led a valiant Vanderbilt team by going 27-for-44 for 298 yards, two touchdowns and a pick, and Earl Bennett caught 13 passes for 156 yards and a major for the Commodores.
