Vanderbilt too strong for Ole Miss

The Vanderbilt Commodores scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to power past the Mississippi Rebels 31-17 on Saturday night.

The 7-point favorite Commodores easily covered the spread in this game, and the combined score was a PUSH against the posted 48-point total.

For the Commodores, Chris Nickson went 17-for-25 for 204 yards, while Cassen Jackson-Garrison ran for 109 yards on 22 carries and scored three touchdowns. Earl Bennett caught 11 passes for 102 yards in the win.

Seth Adams went 10-for-17 for 156 yards and one touchdown before he was replaced by Brent Schaeffer in Mississippi's second loss of the year.
