Commodores Down Auburn 17-13 - Match Report
Zac Stacy tore up the turf for 169 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Commodores to a 17-13 win over the Tigers at Vanderbilt Stadium.
The Commodores earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 7-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 45.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Jordan Rodgers completed 15 of 25 pass attempts for 173 yards for the Commodores in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Tre Mason rushed for 85 yards for Auburn, while Onterio McCalebb added 39 yards. Clint Moseley threw for 98 yards for the Tigers, while receivers Emory Blake and C.J. Uzomah had 47 and 23 yards respectively.
Auburn was outgained by Vanderbilt 382-212 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 19-13 by the Commodores.
Vanderbilt lost the time of possession battle 30:51/29:09, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Vanderbilt takes its act home to face Massachusetts looking for another win. For Auburn, they head home to face Texas A&M.
