Trojans blow past Washington State
Matt Leinart threw for 364 yards and three touchdowns to lead the No. 1 USC Trojans to a commanding 55-13 win over the Washington State Cougars on Saturday.
The Trojans came into this one as 30-point favorites at home and were successful on covering the spread. The game’s combined 68 points fell UNDER the posted over/under (71.5).
LenDale White rushed for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 20 carries, and Michael Coleman had one rushing TD for the Trojans. Dwayne Jarrett made 11 catches for 200 yards and a touchdown, and Steve Smith caught two touchdown passes in the victory.
Jerome Harrison ran for 147 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries, and DeMaundray Woolridge picked up a TD and 40 yards on the ground in the loss for the Cougars.
