Jaguars Fall 31-14 Against Detroit - Game Recap

Mikel LeShoure shredded the Jacksonville defense for 3 TDs as the Detroit handed the Jaguars a 31-14 defeat on Sunday at EverBank Field.

Detroit won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 6-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 44.5.

Matthew Stafford completed 22 of 33 pass attempts for 285 yards and 0 TDs for the Lions in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Rashad Jennings rushed for 45 yards for Jacksonville, while Jalen Parmele added 15 yards. Blaine Gabbert threw for 220 yards for the Jaguars, while receivers Cecil Shorts and Laurent Robinson had 56 and 41 yards respectively.

Detroit outgained Jacksonville 434-279 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 26-19 by the Lions.

Jacksonville lost the time of possession battle 35:30/24:30, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Detroit takes its act on the road to face Minnesota looking for another win. For Jacksonville, they head home to face Indianapolis.
