Denver Defeats Kansas City 17-9 - Recap

Peyton Manning passed for 2 TDs and 285 yards in leading Denver to a 17-9 win over Kansas City on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

Denver won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the 10-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 41.5.

Knowshon Moreno rushed for 85 yards, while Ronnie Hillman added 9 yards in the win. Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker added 82 and 64 receiving yards respectively.

Jamaal Charles rushed for 107 yards for Kansas City, while Dexter McCluster added 23 yards. Brady Quinn threw for 126 yards for the Chiefs, while receivers Dwayne Bowe and Tony Moeaki had 41 and 40 yards respectively.

Denver outgained Kansas City 368-264 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-13 by the Broncos.

The time of possession battle favored Kansas City as their offense was on the field for 31:43, longer than the 28:17 of their opponents.

Next game, Denver takes its act home to face Tampa Bay looking for another win. For Kansas City, they head home to face Carolina.
