New Orleans Defeats Tampa Bay 41-0 - Recap

The Saints got a 4-TD performance from Drew Brees as New Orleans handed Tampa Bay a 41-0 defeat on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Bettors who backed the Saints were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of 3.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go UNDER the closing total of 54.5.

Mark Ingram rushed for 90 yards, while Darren Sproles added 22 yards in the win. Jimmy Graham and Joseph Morgan added 69 and 61 receiving yards respectively.

LeGarrette Blount rushed for 25 yards for Tampa Bay, while Keith Tandy added 18 yards. Josh Freeman threw for 279 yards for the Buccaneers, while receivers Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams had 81 and 63 yards respectively.

Tampa Bay was outgained by New Orleans 447-386 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 24-20 by the Saints.

Tampa Bay lost the time of possession battle 31:48/28:12, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

New Orleans looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Cowboys. The Buccaneers will aim to get back on the winning track vs St. Louis.
