Lions Fall 31-18 Against Atlanta - Game Recap

The Falcons got a 4-TD performance from Matt Ryan as Atlanta handed Detroit a 31-18 defeat on Saturday at Ford Field.

The Falcons were a 3.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 49.5.

Michael Turner rushed for 41 yards, while Matt Ryan added 25 yards in the win. Roddy White and Julio Jones added 153 and 71 receiving yards respectively.

Mikel Leshoure rushed for 46 yards for Detroit, while Stefan Logan added 13 yards. Matthew Stafford threw for 443 yards for the Lions, while receivers Calvin Johnson and Joique Bell had 225 and 73 yards respectively.

Detroit outgained Atlanta 522-344 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 25-19 by the Lions.

The time of possession battle favored Detroit as their offense was on the field for 31:08, longer than the 28:52 of their opponents.

Atlanta heads into a Week 17 battle against the Buccaneers. Detroit, meanwhile, will have their next action against Chicago.
