Minnesota Defeats Houston 23-6 - Recap

The Vikings were Week 16 winners on Sunday, coming out on top of the Texans by a score of 23-6 at Reliant Stadium.

Minnesota was the ATS victor, as they covered the 7.5-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 43.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Christian Ponder completed 16 of 30 pass attempts for 174 yards and 1 TD for the Vikings in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Ben Tate rushed for 17 yards for Houston, while Arian Foster added 15 yards. Matt Schaub threw for 178 yards for the Texans, while receivers Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels had 97 and 27 yards respectively.

Minnesota outgained Houston 345-187 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-11 by the Vikings.

Houston lost the time of possession battle 34:46/25:14, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Minnesota looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Packers. The Texans will aim to get back on the winning track at Indianapolis.
