Todd Peterson kicked a 36-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter Sunday to give the Atlanta Falcons a 34-31 win over the New Orleans Saints.

The Falcons had been favored by 6-points in the game, but could not cover the spread. The combined score was OVER the posted over/under total (43.5).

Falcons’ quarterback Michael Vick completed 11-of-23 passes for 112 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Warrick Dunn rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.

Aaron Brooks completed 22-of-33 passes for 259 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for New Orleans. Antowain Smith rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.
