Seahawks slip past Giants in OT
Josh Brown kicked a 36-yard field goal in overtime Sunday to give the Seattle Seahawks a 24-21 win over the New York Giants.
The Seahawks had been favored by 4.5-points in the game, but could not cover the spread. The combined score was UNDER the posted over/under total (47.5).
Seahawks’ quarterback Matt Hasselbeck completed 21-of-37 passes for 249 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Joe Jurevicius caught eight passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns, while Shaun Alexander rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on 31 carries.
Eli Manning completed 29-of-53 passes for 344 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Jeremy Shockey caught 10 passes for 127 yards and Tiki Barber rushed for 151 yards on 26 carries.
