Seahawks fly past Panthers to Super Bowl

Shaun Alexander rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on 34 carries Sunday night as the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Carolina Panthers 34-14.

The Seahawks had been favored by 4-points in the game and easily covered the small spread. The combined score was OVER the night’s posted over/under total (44).

Seahawks’ quarterback Matt Hasselbeck completed 20-of-28 passes for 219 yards with two touchdowns. Darrell Jackson caught six passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.

Jake Delhomme struggled for Carolina, completing only 15-of-35 passes for 196 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. Steve Smith caught five passes for 37 yards, while Nick Going was held to only two yards on five carries.
