Panthers sneak past Redskins

The Carolina Panthers scored 18 unanswered points in the second half Sunday to defeat the Washington Redskins 20-17.

The Panthers were a 5.5-point favorite in the game, but were unable to cover the spread. The combined score fell UNDER the posted over/under total (38).

Jake Delhomme passed for 181 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Carolina, while Jonathan Stewart rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

Jason Campbell threw for 145 yards with a touchdown for Washington and Clinton Portis rushed for 57 yards and a TD on 19 carries and he also caught a TD pass.
