Seahawks Fall 42-24 Against Kansas City - Game Recap
Matt Cassel scorched the Seahawks defense for 4 TDs as Kansas City defeated Seattle 42-24 on Sunday at Qwest Field.
The Chiefs were a 1.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 45.5.
Jamaal Charles rushed for 173 yards, while Thomas Jones added 68 yards in the win. Dwayne Bowe and Verran Tucker added 170 and 24 receiving yards respectively.
Marshawn Lynch rushed for 20 yards for Seattle, while Justin Forsett added 2 yards. Matt Hasselbeck threw for 282 yards for the Seahawks, while receivers Ben Obomanu and Brandon Stokley had 159 and 51 yards respectively.
Seattle lost the offensive yardage battle to Kansas City 503-288 yards in Sunday's game. Kansas City had more first downs as that total ended up 28-13.
Seattle lost the time of possession battle 41:03/18:57, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
