Panthers hold off Buccaneers

DeAngelo Williams rushed for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 30 carries Sunday, as the Carolina Panthers defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 28-21.

The Panthers were a 3-point favorite in the game and were able to cover the spread. The combined score went OVER the posted over/under total (40.5).

Jake Delhomme passed for 65 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Carolina, while Jonathan Stewart rushed for 101 yards and a TD on 17 carries.

Carnell Williams rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries for Tampa Bay and Josh Johnson passed for 147 yards with an interception.
