Bengals bite Bills
The Cincinnati Bengals blasted the Buffalo Bills 44-31 in NFL preseason action on Friday night.
The visiting Bengals entered the game as 3.5-point underdogs but won outright. The game's combined score of 75 points was way OVER the posted total of 34.5 points.
QB Doug Johnson completed 8 of 14 passing attempts for 133 yards and one touchdown as the Bengals scored early and often in the victory. Johnson also scrambled for a major. QB Anthony Wright started the game and completed 9 of 19 attempts for 99 yards including a nine-yard touchdown pass to WR Chad Johnson. Johnson finished with five catches for 73 yards.
Dexter Johnson also aided the Bengals' cause with a 72-yard fumble return for the game's opening touchdown.
For the Bills, J.P. Losman completed 7 of 11 passing attempts for 134 yards, including a 46-yard major to Lee Evans. However, Losman was picked off once and fumbled twice. QB Craig Nall was 5 of 9 for 63 yards and a late TD pass. RB Willis McGahee carried nine times for 88 yards including a 61-yard touchdown run.
