Gore, 49ers shut down Cardinals

Frank Gore ran for 167 yards on 25 carries with a touchdown, as the San Francisco 49ers stifled the Arizona Cardinals 24-9 on Monday night.

San Francisco cashed as 3.5-point home underdogs, while the game played UNDER the 44.5-point total set by oddsmakers.

Alex Smith went 19-of-35 for 144 yards with two TD passes and two interceptions for the 49ers, as Michael Crabtree caught five balls for 67 yards with a score for San Francisco.

Beanie Wells rushed for 79 yards on 15 attempts with a touchdown for Arizona, while Kurt Warner was 16-of-29 for 178 yards with two picks for the Cardinals.
