Eli Manning scorched the Panthers defense for 3 TDs as New York defeated Carolina 31-18 on Sunday at Meadowlands Stadium.

New York won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 5.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 40.5.

Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for 76 yards, while Brandon Jacobs added 44 yards in the win. Mario Manningham and Hakeem Nicks added 85 and 75 receiving yards respectively.

DeAngelo Williams rushed for 62 yards for Carolina, while Matt Moore added 15 yards. Matt Moore threw for 182 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Steve Smith and Dwayne Jarrett had 75 and 40 yards respectively.

New York outgained Carolina 376-237 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-14 by the Giants.

Carolina lost the time of possession battle 34:39/25:21, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, New York takes its act on the road to face Indianapolis looking for another win. For Carolina, they head home to face Tampa Bay.
