Miami Falls 31-23 to Jets - Recap

New York got 3 passing strikes from Mark Sanchez en route to a 31-23 victory over Miami on Sunday in Week 3 action at Sun Life Stadium.

The Jets were a 2.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 35.5.

LaDainian Tomlinson rushed for 70 yards, while Brad Smith added 41 yards in the win. Dustin Keller and Braylon Edwards added 98 and 87 receiving yards respectively.

Ronnie Brown rushed for 54 yards for Miami, while Ricky Williams added 28 yards. Chad Henne threw for 363 yards for the Dolphins, while receivers Brandon Marshall and Davone Bess had 166 and 86 yards respectively.

Miami outgained New York 436-402 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 24-20 by the Dolphins.

New York lost the time of possession battle 32:48/27:12, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, New York takes its act on the road to face Buffalo looking for another win. For Miami, they head home to face New England.
