Chiefs Fall 35-31 Against Houston - Game Recap

Matt Schaub led the way with 305 passing yards on Sunday as the Texans picked up a 35-31 victory over the Chiefs at Reliant Stadium.

Houston won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the 4.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 45.5.

Arian Foster rushed for 71 yards, while Derrick Ward added 58 yards in the win. Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels added 138 and 79 receiving yards respectively.

Thomas Jones rushed for 100 yards for Kansas City, while Jamaal Charles added 93 yards. Matt Cassel threw for 201 yards for the Chiefs, while receivers Dwayne Bowe and Jamaal Charles had 108 and 24 yards respectively.

Kansas City was outgained by Houston 421-417 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-23 by the Chiefs.

Kansas City led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:28/26:32 split in that important category.

Next game, Houston takes its act on the road to face Indianapolis looking for another win. For Kansas City, they head home to face Jacksonville.
