Vikings Down Arizona 27-24 - Match Report
Brett Favre sliced and diced the Cardinals defense for 446 yards and 2 TDs as Minnesota handed Arizona a 27-24 defeat on Sunday at The Metrodome.
Minnesota did not, however, defeat the Cardinals against the spread, which closed at 7.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 42.5.
Adrian Peterson rushed for 81 yards, while Toby Gerhart added 6 yards in the win. Percy Harvin and Bernard Berrian added 126 and 89 receiving yards respectively.
Tim Hightower rushed for 39 yards for Arizona, while Derek Anderson added 16 yards. Derek Anderson threw for 179 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Roberts had 107 and 29 yards respectively.
Minnesota outgained Arizona 507-225 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 28-13 by the Vikings.
Arizona lost the time of possession battle 38:05/27:13, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
