Tampa Bay Defeats San Francisco 21-0 - Recap

The battle between the Buccaneers and 49ers didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as San Francisco was handed a 21-0 defeat on Sunday at Candlestick Park.

Tampa Bay was the ATS victor, as they covered the 3.5-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 41.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Josh Freeman completed 13 of 20 pass attempts for 136 yards and 2 TDs for the Buccaneers in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Troy Smith rushed for 45 yards for San Francisco, while Frank Gore added 23 yards. Troy Smith threw for 148 yards for the 49ers, while receivers Josh Morgan and Frank Gore had 51 and 37 yards respectively.

Tampa Bay outgained San Francisco 299-189 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 20-11 by the Buccaneers.

The time of possession battle favored Tampa Bay as their offense was on the field for 36:24, longer than the 23:36 of their opponents.

Next game, Tampa Bay takes its act on the road to face Baltimore looking for another win. For San Francisco, they head on the road to face Arizona.
