Colts run over Rams

Edgerrin James rushed for three touchdowns and 143 yards on 23 carries Monday night as the Indianapolis Colts defeated the St. Louis Rams 45-28.

The Colts had been favored by 13.5-points in the game and were able to cover the spread. The combined score was well OVER the posted over/under total (51).

Colts’ quarterback Peyton Manning completed 22-of-32 passes for 191 yards with two touchdowns. Marvin Harrison caught a touchdown pass from Manning in the fourth quarter and set a new NFL record for touchdown passes between a quarterback and a receiver with 86.

Rams’ quarterback Marc Bulger complete 6-of-8 passes for 121 yards with a touchdown and an interception before leaving the game with a sprained right shoulder. Backup QB Jamie Martin threw for 134 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions on 12-of-21 passing.
