Manning, Colts march past Saints
Peyton Manning and the defending champion Indianapolis Colts dominated in the season-opener with a 41-10 win over the New Orleans Saints Thursday night at the RCA Dome.
Indianapolis easily covered the 5.5-point spread, and the combined 51 points sailed OVER the posted total of 53.
Manning completed 18-of-30 pass attempts for 288 yards with three touchdowns, and Joseph Addai rushed for 118 yards with a TD for the Colts.
Drew Brees was picked off twice, and completed 28-of-41 pass attempts for 192 yards. Jason David returned a fumble 55 yards for the only TD in a losing effort.
