Recap - Saints Defeat Atlanta 17-14

Drew Brees's 302-yard performance through the air was the key in New Orleans's 17-14 win over Atlanta on Monday at Georgia Dome.

New Orleans was the ATS victor, as they covered the 2.5-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 50.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Pierre Thomas rushed for 63 yards, while Devery Henderson added 9 yards in the win. Robert Meachem and Lance Moore added 101 and 48 receiving yards respectively.

Michael Turner rushed for 48 yards for Atlanta, while Matt Ryan added 26 yards. Matt Ryan threw for 148 yards for the Falcons, while receivers Roddy White and Michael Jenkins had 43 and 40 yards respectively.

Atlanta was outgained by New Orleans 368-215 yards in Monday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-14 by the Saints.

New Orleans led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 36:35/23:25 split in that important category.

Next game, New Orleans takes its act home to face Tampa Bay looking for another win. For Atlanta, they head home to face Carolina.
