New York Defeats Washington 17-14 - Recap

Washington was unable to slow down Mario Manningham, who produced 101 receiving yards as the Giants defeated the Redskins 17-14 on Sunday.

New York did not, however, defeat the Redskins against the spread, which closed at 4.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 45.5.

Eli Manning completed 17 of 29 pass attempts for 243 yards and 1 TD for the Giants in the win. He was picked off 1 time by the Redskins defense.

Ryan Torain rushed for 61 yards for Washington, while Keiland Williams added 4 yards. Rex Grossman threw for 336 yards for the Redskins, while receivers Anthony Armstrong and Santana Moss had 84 and 74 yards respectively.

New York lost the offensive yardage battle to Washington 385-325 yards in Sunday's game. Washington had more first downs as that total ended up 20-14.

The time of possession battle favored New York as their offense was on the field for 32:20, longer than the 27:40 of their opponents.
