Jags clinch playoff spot with win over Texans
LaBrandon Toefield rushed for three touchdowns on Saturday to lead the Jacksonville Jaguars to a 38-20 win over the Houston Texans.
The Jaguars were listed as a 6.5-point favorite on the road and were able to make good on covering the spread. The game’s final score went OVER the posted total (37).
Fred Taylor added a TD and 101 yards on the ground for the Jaguars, who clinched a playoff berth with the victory. David Garrard completed 18-of-31 passes for 292 yards, and threw a 36-yard TD pass to Ernest Wilford.
David Carr threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns, while getting picked off once in the loss. Andre Johnson had 119 yards and a touchdown receiving, and Corey Bradford made four catches for 101 yards and a TD for Houston.
