Tampa Bay Falls 31-14 to Patriots - Recap

The Patriots got a 2-TD performance from Tom Brady as New England handed Tampa Bay a 31-14 defeat on Thursday at Raymond James Stadium.

New England won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 1-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 38.5.

Stevan Ridley rushed for 84 yards, while Danny Woodhead added 63 yards in the win. Wes Welker and Aaron Hernandez added 56 and 42 receiving yards respectively.

Josh Johnson rushed for 24 yards for Tampa Bay, while Allen Bradford added 17 yards. Josh Johnson threw for 105 yards for the Buccaneers, while receivers Preston Parker and Maurice Price had 43 and 35 yards respectively.

Tampa Bay lost the offensive yardage battle to New England 383-244 yards in Thursday's game. New England had more first downs as that total ended up 25-15.

Tampa Bay lost the time of possession battle 34:00/26:00, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

New England heads into a P3 battle against the Lions. Tampa Bay, meanwhile, will have their next action against Miami.
