Browns Fall 24-14 Against Chicago - Game Recap

Chicago got 2 TDs from Robert Hughes en route to a 24-14 victory over the Browns on Thursday at Soldier Field.

Chicago won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 1-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 35.5.

Caleb Hanie completed 7 of 10 pass attempts for 83 yards and 1 TD for the Bears in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Armond Smith rushed for 47 yards for Cleveland, while Jarrett Brown added 24 yards. Jarrett Brown threw for 92 yards for the Browns, while receivers Rod Windsor and Brian Robiskie had 55 and 39 yards respectively.

Cleveland was outgained by Chicago 249-230 yards in Thursday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 20-14 by the Bears.

Cleveland lost the time of possession battle 33:19/26:41, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Chicago takes its act home to face Atlanta looking for another win. For Cleveland, they head home to face Cincinnati.
