Arizona Defeats Denver 26-7 - Recap

Arizona got 2 scoring strikes from Richard Bartel en route to a 26-7 victory over Denver on Thursday in P4 action at University of Phoenix Stadium.

The Cardinals were a 3-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 40.5.

William Powell rushed for 60 yards, while Beanie Wells added 11 yards in the win. Chansi Stuckey and Stephen Spach added 99 and 54 receiving yards respectively.

Brandon Minor rushed for 32 yards for Denver, while Lance Ball added 17 yards. Tim Tebow threw for 116 yards for the Broncos, while receivers Eron Riley and D'Andre Goodwin had 144 and 49 yards respectively.

Denver was outgained by Arizona 398-293 yards in Thursday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 19-11 by the Cardinals.

Denver lost the time of possession battle 39:23/20:37, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Arizona heads into a Week 1 battle against the Panthers. Denver, meanwhile, will have their next action against Oakland.
