Minnesota vs San Diego Recap - Chargers Win 24-17

San Diego's aerial attack produced 335 yards and the Chargers produced a 24-17 victory over Minnesota on Sunday at Qualcomm Stadium.

The Chargers earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 9.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 44.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Ryan Mathews rushed for 45 yards, while Mike Tolbert added 35 yards in the win. Antonio Gates and Ryan Mathews added 74 and 73 receiving yards respectively.

Adrian Peterson rushed for 98 yards for Minnesota, while Donovan McNabb added 32 yards. Donovan McNabb threw for 39 yards for the Vikings, while receivers Michael Jenkins and Percy Harvin had 26 and 7 yards respectively.

San Diego outgained Minnesota 407-187 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 31-10 by the Chargers.

The time of possession battle favored San Diego as their offense was on the field for 37:17, longer than the 22:43 of their opponents.

Next game, San Diego takes its act on the road to face New England looking for another win. For Minnesota, they head home to face Tampa Bay.
