New Orleans vs Carolina Recap - Saints Win 30-27

Drew Brees sliced and diced the Panthers defense for 359 yards and 2 TDs as New Orleans handed Carolina a 30-27 defeat on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium.

The Saints won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the 6.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Darren Sproles rushed for 51 yards, while Mark Ingram added 32 yards in the win. Jimmy Graham and Marques Colston added 129 and 69 receiving yards respectively.

DeAngelo Williams rushed for 115 yards for Carolina, while Cam Newton added 27 yards. Cam Newton threw for 224 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Steve Smith and Legedu Naanee had 79 and 63 yards respectively.

Carolina was outgained by New Orleans 444-381 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 27-20 by the Saints.

The time of possession battle favored New Orleans as their offense was on the field for 34:40, longer than the 25:20 of their opponents.

New Orleans heads into a Week 6 battle against the Buccaneers. Carolina, meanwhile, will have their next action against Atlanta.
