Recap - Steelers Defeat Jacksonville 17-13

Pittsburgh got a 146-yard performance from Rashard Mendenhall as a key part of its 17-13 victory over the Jaguars on Sunday at Heinz Field.

Pittsburgh won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the 12-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 40.5.

Ben Roethlisberger completed 12 of 23 pass attempts for 200 yards and 1 TD for the Steelers in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 96 yards for Jacksonville, while Deji Karim added 21 yards. Blaine Gabbert threw for 109 yards for the Jaguars, while receivers Mike Thomas and Jason Hill had 36 and 29 yards respectively.

Jacksonville was outgained by Pittsburgh 370-209 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 16-15 by the Jaguars.

The time of possession battle favored Pittsburgh as their offense was on the field for 31:13, longer than the 28:47 of their opponents.

Pittsburgh looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Cardinals. The Jaguars will aim to get back on the winning track vs Baltimore.
