Detroit vs Chicago Recap - Bears Win 37-13

The battle between the Bears and Lions didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Detroit was handed a 37-13 defeat on Sunday at Soldier Field.

Chicago was a favorite by 2.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 42.5.

Jay Cutler completed 9 of 19 pass attempts for 123 yards and 0 TDs for the Bears in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Maurice Morris rushed for 44 yards for Detroit, while Kevin Smith added 19 yards. Matthew Stafford threw for 329 yards for the Lions, while receivers Nate Burleson and Calvin Johnson had 83 and 81 yards respectively.

Chicago was outgained by Detroit 393-216 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 22-12 by the Lions.

The time of possession battle favored Detroit as their offense was on the field for 30:54, longer than the 29:06 of their opponents.

Next game, Chicago takes its act home to face San Diego looking for another win. For Detroit, they head home to face Carolina.
