Washington Defeats Seattle 23-17 - Recap

Washington's aerial attack produced 314 yards and the Redskins produced a 23-17 victory over Seattle on Sunday at CenturyLink Field.

Washington won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 3-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 37.5.

Roy Helu rushed for 108 yards, while Evan Royster added 3 yards in the win. Jabar Gaffney and Fred Davis added 72 and 58 receiving yards respectively.

Marshawn Lynch rushed for 111 yards for Seattle, while Leon Washington added 9 yards. Tarvaris Jackson threw for 144 yards for the Seahawks, while receivers Doug Baldwin and Ben Obomanu had 60 and 26 yards respectively.

Washington outgained Seattle 416-250 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-15 by the Redskins.

Seattle lost the time of possession battle 33:20/26:40, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Washington takes its act home to face New York looking for another win. For Seattle, they head home to face Philadelphia.
