San Diego vs Jacksonville Recap - Chargers Win 38-14

The Chargers got a 3-TD performance from Philip Rivers as San Diego handed Jacksonville a 38-14 defeat on Monday at EverBank Field.

The Chargers were a 3-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 40.5.

Ryan Mathews rushed for 112 yards, while Mike Tolbert added 24 yards in the win. Malcom Floyd and Vincent Jackson added 108 and 72 receiving yards respectively.

Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 97 yards for Jacksonville, while Blaine Gabbert added 19 yards. Blaine Gabbert threw for 195 yards for the Jaguars, while receivers Maurice Jones-Drew and Marcedes Lewis had 91 and 27 yards respectively.

Jacksonville was outgained by San Diego 433-306 yards in Monday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 19-17 by the Chargers.

San Diego lost the time of possession battle 31:43/28:17, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, San Diego takes its act home to face Buffalo looking for another win. For Jacksonville, they head home to face Tampa Bay.
