Vikings Fall 34-28 Against Detroit - Game Recap

Detroit got 2 scoring strikes from Matthew Stafford en route to a 34-28 victory over Minnesota on Sunday in Week 14 action at Ford Field.

Detroit did not, however, defeat the Vikings against the spread, which closed at 10.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 46.5.

Keiland Williams rushed for 43 yards, while Maurice Morris added 13 yards in the win. Titus Young and Brandon Pettigrew added 87 and 57 receiving yards respectively.

Joe Webb rushed for 109 yards for Minnesota, while Toby Gerhart added 90 yards. Christian Ponder threw for 115 yards for the Vikings, while receivers Percy Harvin and Devin Aromashodu had 69 and 47 yards respectively.

Detroit was outgained by Minnesota 425-280 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 29-13 by the Vikings.

Detroit led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:14/28:46 split in that important category.

Detroit looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Raiders. The Vikings will aim to get back on the winning track vs New Orleans.
