The 49ers grabbed a Week 15 victory over the Steelers on Monday, winning 20-3 at Candlestick Park.

San Francisco won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 3-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 36.5.

Alex Smith completed 18 of 31 pass attempts for 187 yards and 1 TD for the 49ers in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Rashard Mendenhall rushed for 64 yards for Pittsburgh, while Mewelde Moore added 21 yards. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 330 yards for the Steelers, while receivers Jerricho Cotchery and Heath Miller had 93 and 82 yards respectively.

San Francisco was outgained by Pittsburgh 389-287 yards in Monday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 20-17 by the Steelers.

Pittsburgh led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:26/28:34 split in that important category.

San Francisco looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Seahawks. The Steelers will aim to get back on the winning track vs St. Louis.
