Indianapolis Defeats St. Louis 38-3 - Recap

The battle between the Colts and Rams didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as St. Louis was handed a 38-3 defeat on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Indianapolis won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 1.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 34.5.

Andrew Luck completed 10 of 16 pass attempts for 188 yards and 2 TDs for the Colts in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Isaiah Pead rushed for 33 yards for St. Louis, while Steven Jackson added 17 yards. Austin Davis threw for 84 yards for the Rams, while receivers Austin Pettis and Mike Campbell had 25 and 18 yards respectively.

St. Louis was outgained by Indianapolis 430-215 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-15 by the Colts.

Indianapolis lost the time of possession battle 30:06/29:54, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Indianapolis takes its act on the road to face Pittsburgh looking for another win. For St. Louis, they head home to face Kansas City.
