Recap - Colts Defeat Minnesota 23-20

Indianapolis won 23-20 on Sunday against Minnesota behind a 111-yard receiving performance from Donnie Avery at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Colts were a 2.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 45.5.

Andrew Luck completed 20 of 31 pass attempts for 224 yards and 2 TDs for the Colts in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Adrian Peterson rushed for 60 yards for Minnesota, while Toby Gerhart added 15 yards. Christian Ponder threw for 245 yards for the Vikings, while receivers Percy Harvin and Michael Jenkins had 104 and 43 yards respectively.

Indianapolis was outgained by Minnesota 327-278 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 19-17 by the Vikings.

The time of possession battle favored Minnesota as their offense was on the field for 30:22, longer than the 29:38 of their opponents.

Next game, Indianapolis takes its act home to face Jacksonville looking for another win. For Minnesota, they head home to face San Francisco.
