Hurricanes shred Maple Leafs

Tuomo Ruutu and Eric Staal each had a goal and an assist Sunday, as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-4.

The Hurricanes were a -160 home favorite in the game and the 10 goals scored went OVER the posted over/under total (5.5.).

Joe Corvo and Ray Whitney also scored for Carolina, while Michael Leighton made 29 saves to earn the win.

Mikhail Grabovski scored a pair of goals for Toronto and Niklas Kulemin collected two assists.
