Semin leads Caps over Hurricanes

Alexander Semin scored twice as the Washington Capitals defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 Thursday night at the Verizon Center.

Washington won the game as -155 favorites, while the five goals went UNDER the posted over/under (6).

Sergei Federov had the other marker for the Capitals, and Alexander Ovechkin assisted on all three goals. Brent Johnson made 32 saves in the win.

Scott Walker and Tuomo Ruutu scored for the Hurricanes, while Cam Ward stopped 30 shots in a losing effort.
