The Boston Bruins allowed the first goal of the game but charged back for a 3-1 victory over the Buffalo Sabres at TD Banknorth Garden Saturday night.
The Bruins won as -130 home favorites. The final score played under the 5.5-goal total set by oddsmakers.
Returning winger Chuck Kobasew scored a goal and added an assist to push Boston to the top of the Northeast Division with the win. Also scoring for the Bruins were Dennis Wideman and Marc Savard.
Tim Connolly scored the only goal for the Sabres, who fired 33 shots on Boston keeper Manny Fernandez.
