Lightning steal win in Philly
The Tampa Bay Lightning relied on a two-goal second period to escape the City of Brotherly Love with a 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wachovia Center Saturday night.
Tampa Bay stole the win as a +135 road underdog while the final score remained under the 5.5-goal total set by sportsbooks.
The Lightning's Jussi Jokinen and Vaclav Prospal netted goals in the second frame while goaltender Mike Smith turned away 35 of 36 shots.
Philadelphia recorded its single score when Daniel Briere found the back of the net on the powerplay. The Flyers have now lost three games in a row.
