Flyers rally; upend Hurricanes

The Philadelphia Flyers scored four times in the third period to send the game into overtime before coming away with a 6-5 win over the Carolina Hurricanes in a shootout Thursday night.

Philadelphia won the game as -160 favorites, while the combined scored sailed OVER the posted over/under (5.5).

Scott Hartnell netted a hat trick for the Flyers, and singles came off the sticks of Scottie Upshall and Simon Gagne.

Eric Staal had a pair of goals for the Hurricanes, while Matt Cullen, Sergei Samsonov and Joni Pitkanen.
