Bruins dump Thrashers

The Boston Bruins exploded for four goals in the opening period Friday, and went on to defeat the Atlanta Thrashers 7-3 at Philips Arena.

Boston won the game as -180 favorites, and the 10 goals sailed OVER the posted over/under (5.5).

Phil Kessel had a goal and two assists, while Mark Stuart potted two goals in the win. Michael Ryder, Stephane Yelle, Zdeno Chara, and Milan Lucic also scored for the Bruins.

Todd White, Slava Kozlov, and Boris Valabik replied for the Thrashers.
