Capitals upset Bruins

The Washington Capitals got a late goal to edge the Boston Bruins 2-1 at the Verizon Center Saturday.

The Capitals won as -125 home underdogs while the final score played under the 6-goal total.

Alexander Semin netted the game winner with nine minutes remaining in the third period. Mike Green scored on the power play in the second period.

The Bruins lone goal came from Marc Savard on the power play just two minutes into the middle frame. Goaltender Tim Thomas made 28 saves in the loss.
