Sergei Gonchar scored the game-winning goal to lift the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 5-4 victory over the Montreal Canadiens Thursday night at Mellon Arena.

Pittsburgh won the game as -180 favorites, while the nine goals sailed OVER the posted over/under (6).

Evgeni Malkin potted a goal and an assist, while Miroslav Satan, Petr Sykora, and Max Talbot also scored for the Penguins.

Tomas Plekanec scored twice for the Canadiens, while Andrei Kostitsyn and Mathieu Schneider also tallied in the loss.
